Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. O'Dell, as well as anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show to The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
